The Heart of Meditation

Revealing the Clarity and Luminosity of the Awakened Mind

Meditation is the foundation of any spiritual path that delivers complete realization of the human potential. Being trained in a system of step-by-step meditation ensures that the practitioner is continually immersed and progressing in the process of actualizing their inherent potential within, the potential to become a Buddha - one who is permanently Awakened. Using a system that has been tested by yogins for over 3,000 years with undeniable results, gives the practitioner a solid sense of confidence in the path, its techniques, and their ability to attain the fruit of the path.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The world’s spiritual traditions have many forms of meditation. Trika Mahāsiddha Yoga (TMY) teaches an efficient system containing all of the essential exercises of Indian & Tibetan Dharma meditation systems. The TMY system was taught to Dharma Bodhi during two discipleships with his Indian and Tibetan gurus that spanned over twenty years.

A unique attribute of Trika Mahāsiddha Yoga’s system of meditation is that you will learn meditations that work with the three Natural Presence access points - the body, the energy, and the mind. Most modern schools of meditation focus solely on the mind, because the Dharma has become more and more transcendentally oriented over the last 800 years. In contrast the original systems of Tibetan Buddhism, Bön and Indian Śakta-Śaivism that this program is based upon, teaches a “body-energy-mind awakening” that is essential to a well- integrated experience of enlightenment.

Note: In this program you will learn the 10 core meditations within the “Awakening the Three Centers” and “Stabilizing Equanimity” phases of the TMY’s Way of Meditation.

About the Teacher

Dharma Bodhi (Kol Martens)

Dharma Bodhi began practicing yoga at seven years of age. In his teens he moved into practices of Chan Buddhism and Daoism received through his Chinese martial arts teachers in New York. After completing his chiropractic degree he studied in an Oral-Practice Tradition of Non-Dual Śaiva Tantra, taking initiation into one of the Daśnami Orders of practice from India. In 1996 he complete ācārya training under his Śaiva gurus. This training emphasized traditional Kundalinī Hatha Yoga and a progressive system of Meditation, along supportive studies in ritual/pūjā and yoga texts. Since graduating as a Śaiva ācārya, he took refuge with a great master of Bönpo Dzogchen meditation, and studied with him by taking multiple trips per year to his monastery in India for a period of 8 years.  He studies both Dzogchen meditation & yoga (trul khor), and Dzogchen preliminary and advanced texts. Both his Śaiva and Dzogchen masters gave him the task of teaching these systems stripped of the unnecessary aspects of the cultures and languages they are found in. His Dzogchen master also gave him the task of translating two Tibetan texts. One of which is finished and the other is in process. He now lives with his wife, Sahaja Dakinī, and their two children in rural Maine, USA. He is developing a practice hermitage in the wilderness of Maine and a European teaching center on the border of Italy and Switzerland.
